Thoughts on Bush

Not the prez, we all know what I think of that criminal...
Saints RB and former USC Heisman trophy winner Reggie Bush is once
again at the forefront of an illegal payments and gifts controversy.
According to reports by Yahoo! Bush has been reportedly taped in
conversations with a failed sports agency that was trying to extort him
in an effort to sign him as a client. Bush allegedly received cash and
other gifts while he was still at USC. If the allegations are proven,
Bush could lose his Heisman.
What I dont understand is what one has to prove by sullying the name of
an otherwise fine indiviual. The NCAA could levy sanctions on USC for
using an ineligible player. I think that in itself is a mistake, Pete
Carroll and his staff knew nothing about this and had no clue what might
have been going on. Why punish the school? I think that an extortionist
who failed in his attempt could succeed in a larger sense by hanging a
blot on a person from whom they could not gravy train into a big payday
of their own. They think, I cant get mine so I'm gonna ruin his. It
makes no sense and it should be exposed for the scum it is. What point
are you proving by taking Bush's heisman? No one thought of taking OJ
Simpson's Heisman when he was on trial for murder...of which he was
acquitted.
Ignore the braying hacks like Skip Bayless who are so quick to lionize
players like Bush when they are fufulling their image of amateurs and
entertaining the masses. They are not to be compensated or gain anything
and if they even look like that they would: Cast them into the darkness.
Take anything and everything that they have done on the field and ignore
it. If Bush's parents took money or gifts that doesn't mean that Bush
was influenced. He never signed with the sports agency. Which is pretty
obvious since it failed. Hacks like Bayless immediately figure "The
athlete is cheating, guilty by association, and so forth." So tarnish
his image and cast him out. That thinking is as ludacrist as it is nieve
and bullheaded. And shame on those who judge before everything is said
and done.
