old Song "This Is It". The speculation and guessing is over. The game to
settle it for the season is finally here. The alleged two best teams in
college football square off. No one questions Ohio State, they have been
the best team in the country from the start of the season. Florida is
good and supoosedly the best of the one loss teams that dot the football
landscape. The problem is that there are some teams that feel as if
Florida got their shot because the powers that be did not want to see a
rematch between OSU and Michigan. Given the way the Wolverines played in
the Rose Bowl against USC, that might have been a good thing. But
nonetheless the one loss team left standing to face the Bucks. I'll
break the game down later. But I won't talk too much about my
weekend...4-0. All the games went pretty much the way I called them. I
was glad, I didn't waffle on the Colts-Chiefs game. The Chiefs marriage
to the run up the middle was their downfall. C'mon Herm, no first downs
until 3 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter? Geez, that was as pathetic an
offensive showing as I've ever seen in 25 years of watching football.
The Jets looked exactly like they were student vs teacher. And the
teacher teaches the student everything the student knows but not
everything the teacher knows. The 37-16 score was misleading because the
game was tight until the Pats pulled away in the 4th with a long drive
and the pick for six. The Pokes played it tight but blew it in the end.
You want to put the blame on someone for the loss, it shouldn't be Tony
Romo. Who despite his bobble of a potential lead changing field goal had
the werewithal to make a desperate dash for the goal line. Blame Tuna
who seemed clueless, blame TO who was on a milk carton for most of the
game. The G-Men played a valiiant game in Tiki Barber's swan song, but
it may not be enough to save Tom Coughlin's job. But the game to watch
is tonight.

Just The Facts-The Bucks are trying to be the first team to win two BCS
Championships, Urban Meyer is trying to be the 4th coach to win a
national title in his 2nd year at a school.
Unlike the 2002 championship the Bucks are the favorite, not the
scrappy underdog facing a supposed powerhouse. The Bucks can beat you so
many ways. Heisman winner Troy Smith can beat you with his mobility and
an underrated strength throwing the ball. Antoino Pittman is a money
back who can score from anywhere and there aren't enough superlatives to
begin to describe Ted Ginn Jr. Not to say that Florida with their spread
offense and rock solid defense aren't a solid team in their own right.
Chris Leak has finally shown the poise, leadership and promise that so
many pundits thought he had. Though Tim Tebow is a wild card in the
Gators offensive plan, look for Urban Meyer to dig in to his bag of
tricks to try to misdirect the fast pursuit style the Bucks defense
employs. The Bucks have a slight advantage in the running game, but the
Gators solid run defense will be the toughest the Bucks have faced this
year. Add the fact that the Gators have an embarrasment of riches at the
WR position and this game could be a lot closer than some think. I can't
give the nod to the Gators, they are just missing something. And you
can't go into the game of the year missing anything espcially against a
Bucks team that has so many weapons. The Bucks will wear the Gators down
with strong running and Troy Smith will prove why he was the deserving
runaway winner of the Heisman.

I was diggin the Philly/NY game last night for sure! I am very pleased that Jeff Garcia has another go in the playoffs. He's a great quarterback, and he's having the time of his life on the field!
